Had the pleasure of spending some quiet time at the pond in the Arboretum just myself and this juvenile Green Heron. I sat alone on the shore watching it preen and fish for frogs for over an hour. It was about 10 feet from me, undeterred by my presence. A lovely mid morning sighting captured on Labour Day.
